The situations in which Rescue Remedy is appropriate are those in which self-treatment is most likely to be needed. Gregory Vlamis describes in his book "Bach Flower Remedies to the Rescue" that successful treatments with Rescue Remedy is approximately 190 cases.
According to Dietmar Krämer, German Naturopath, "If there is no exact diagnosis or one does not know which flower to take, one can always apply the rule of thumb for self-treatment. For an emergency, always Rescue Remedy."
